DEFINITIONS.<\/p>\n<p>In this Act:<br \/>\n(1) Secretary.&#8211;The term &#8220;Secretary&#8221; means the Secretary<br \/>\nof the Interior.<br \/>\n(2) Site.&#8211;The term &#8220;Site&#8221; means the Kennedy-King National<br \/>\nCommemorative Site as designated by section 3(a).<br \/>\n(3) State.&#8211;The term &#8220;State&#8221; means the State of Indiana.<br \/>\nSEC. 3. NATIONAL COMMEMORATIVE SITE.<\/p>\n<p>(a) Designation.&#8211;The Landmark for Peace Memorial in Martin Luther<br \/>\nKing, Jr. Park in Indianapolis, in the State, is hereby designated as<br \/>\nthe Kennedy-King National Commemorative Site.<br \/>\n(b) African American Civil Rights Network.&#8211;The Site shall be part<br \/>\nof the African American Civil Rights Network established under Public<br \/>\nLaw 115-104.<br \/>\n(c) Administration.&#8211;<br \/>\n(1) Cooperative agreements.&#8211;The Secretary may enter into<br \/>\ncooperative agreements with appropriate public or private<br \/>\nentities for interpretative and educational purposes related to<br \/>\nthe Site.<br \/>\n(2) Effect of designation.&#8211;The Site shall not be a unit of<br \/>\nthe National Park System.<br \/>\n(3) Limitations.&#8211;Nothing in this Act&#8211;<br \/>\n(A) authorizes the Secretary to interfere with the<br \/>\nrights of any person with respect to private property or<br \/>\nany local zoning ordinance or land use plan of the State<br \/>\nor any political subdivision thereof; or<\/p>\n<p>[[Page 132 STAT. 1252]]<\/p>\n<p>(B) authorizes the Secretary to acquire land or<br \/>\ninterests in land through condemnation or otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>Approved April 4, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>LEGISLATIVE HISTORY&#8211;H.R. 4851:<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>HOUSE REPORTS: No. 115-612 (Comm. on Natural Resources).<br \/>\nCONGRESSIONAL RECORD, Vol. 164 (2018):<br \/>\nMar. 19, considered and passed House.<br \/>\nMar. 22, considered and passed Senate, amended.
