Hawaii. 54 USC 320301 note.&gt;&gt;<br \/>\nSECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.<\/p>\n<p>This Act may be cited as the &#8220;Admiral Lloyd R. `Joe&#8217; Vasey Pacific<br \/>\nWar Commemorative Display Establishment Act&#8221;.<br \/>\nSEC. 2. DEFINITIONS.<\/p>\n<p>In this Act:<br \/>\n(1) Association.&#8211;The term &#8220;Association&#8221; means Pacific<br \/>\nHistoric Parks, a corporation that is&#8211;<br \/>\n(A) a cooperating association with the National Park<br \/>\nService;<br \/>\n(B) organized under the laws of the State of Hawaii;<br \/>\nand<br \/>\n(C) described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal<br \/>\nRevenue Code of 1986 and exempt from taxation under<br \/>\nsection 501(a) of that Code.<br \/>\n(2) Director.&#8211;The term &#8220;Director&#8221; means the Director of<br \/>\nthe National Park Service.<br \/>\n(3) Commemorative display.&#8211;The term &#8220;commemorative<br \/>\ndisplay&#8221; means the Pacific Theater of World War II<br \/>\nCommemorative Display authorized to be established under section<br \/>\n4(a).<br \/>\nSEC. 3. PURPOSES.<\/p>\n<p>The purposes of this Act are to&#8211;<br \/>\n(1) honor the brave members of the United States Armed<br \/>\nForces who fought on behalf of the United States of America in<br \/>\nthe Pacific Theater during World War II;<br \/>\n(2) provide a place to mourn the more than 150,000 American<br \/>\nand allied lives lost in the Pacific Theater during World War<br \/>\nII; and<br \/>\n(3) educate the public about United States battles in the<br \/>\nPacific Theater and its role in World War II.<br \/>\nSEC. 4. PACIFIC THEATER COMMEMORATIVE DISPLAY.<\/p>\n<p>(a) Authorization To Establish Commemorative Display.&#8211;The<br \/>\nAssociation may establish and maintain a commemorative display to honor<br \/>\nthe members of the United States Armed Forces and Allies who served in<br \/>\nthe Pacific Theater during World War II.<\/p>\n<p>[[Page 132 STAT. 1287]]<\/p>\n<p>(b) Use of Federal Funds Prohibited.&#8211;Federal funds may not be used<br \/>\nto design, procure, prepare, install, or maintain the commemorative<br \/>\ndisplay, but the Director may accept and expend contributions of non-<br \/>\nFederal funds and resources for such purposes.<br \/>\n(c) Location of Commemorative Display.&#8211;<br \/>\n(1) In general.&#8211;The Director may allow the commemorative<br \/>\ndisplay to be established at a suitable location at the Pearl<br \/>\nHarbor site of the World War II Valor in the Pacific National<br \/>\nMonument in Honolulu, Hawaii.<br \/>\n(2) &lt;&lt;NOTE: Determination.&gt;&gt;
