[115th Congress Public Law 178]\r\n[From the U.S. Government Publishing Office]\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n[[Page 132 STAT. 1379]]\r\n\r\nPublic Law 115-178\r\n115th Congress\r\n\r\n                                 An Act\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n  To authorize the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution to \r\n   plan, design, and construct a central parking facility on National \r\n Zoological Park property in the District of Columbia. <<NOTE: June 1, \r\n                         2018 -  [H.R. 4009]>> \r\n\r\n    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the \r\nUnited States of America in Congress assembled, <<NOTE: Smithsonian \r\nNational Zoological Park Central Parking Facility Authorization Act.>> \r\nSECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.\r\n\r\n    This Act may be cited as the ``Smithsonian National Zoological Park \r\nCentral Parking Facility Authorization Act''.\r\nSEC. 2. FACILITY FOR IMPROVED VISITOR EXPERIENCE AND ACCESS AT THE \r\n                    NATIONAL ZOOLOGICAL PARK.\r\n\r\n    (a) In General.--In order to improve visitor experience and multi-\r\nmodal access to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park, the Board of \r\nRegents of the Smithsonian Institution is authorized to plan, design, \r\nand construct a central parking facility on National Zoological Park \r\nproperty in the District of Columbia.\r\n    (b) Central Parking Facility.--The facility authorized under this \r\nsection may include parking, transportation improvements, visitor \r\namenities including restrooms, a pedestrian bridge to a midpoint entry \r\nof the National Zoological Park, and ancillary works to accommodate \r\nalternative uses of the facility.\r\n    (c) Funding.--Construction of the facility described in this section \r\nshall be conducted with funds from nonappropriated sources.\r\n\r\n    Approved June 1, 2018.\r\n\r\nLEGISLATIVE HISTORY--H.R. 4009:\r\n---------------------------------------------------------------------------\r\n\r\nCONGRESSIONAL RECORD, Vol. 164 (2018):\r\n            Apr. 25, considered and passed House.\r\n            May 16, considered and passed Senate.\r\n\r\n                                  <all>\r\n<\/pre>\n
