An Act<\/p>\n
To extend a project of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
\ninvolving the Cannonsville Dam. <<NOTE: July 23, 2018 – [H.R. 2292]>><\/p>\n
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
\nUnited States of America in Congress assembled,
\nSECTION 1. EXTENSION OF TIME FOR A FEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY
\nCOMMISSION PROJECT INVOLVING
\nCANNONSVILLE DAM.<\/p>\n
(a) In General.–Notwithstanding the time period specified in
\nsection 13 of the Federal Power Act (16 U.S.C. 806) that would otherwise
\napply to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project numbered
\n13287, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (referred to in this
\nsection as the “Commission”) may, at the request of the licensee for
\nthe project, and after reasonable notice, in accordance with the good
\nfaith, due diligence, and public interest requirements of that section
\nand the procedures of the Commission under that section, extend the time
\nperiod during which the licensee is required to commence construction of
\nthe project for up to 4 consecutive 2-year periods after the required
\ndate of the commencement of construction described in Article 301 of the
\nlicense.
\n(b) <<NOTE: Effective dates.>> Reinstatement of Expired License.–
\n(1) In general.–If the required date of the commencement of
\nconstruction described in subsection (a) has expired prior to
\nthe date of enactment of this Act, the Commission may reinstate
\nthe license effective as of that date of expiration.
\n(2) Extension.–If the Commission reinstates the license
\nunder paragraph (1), the first extension authorized under
\nsubsection (a) shall take effect on the date of that expiration.<\/p>\n
